Engineered for precision control, the Inline Easy Read Pressure-Compensated Flow Control Valve is an essential component for hydraulic systems requiring controlled flow in one direction and free flow in the opposite. This valve, featuring female 3/8-18 NPT ports, supports a flow range of 1.0 to 10 GPM. Designed to maintain consistent performance, it begins controlling flow at a pressure drop between 60 to 70 PSI and ensures flow regulation within ±10% above 1.5 GPM and ±15% from 0.5 to 1.5 GPM.

Durability is ensured with a steel body and piston, stainless steel needle, and an aluminum knob. The pressure-compensated design, along with color coding and a numerical readout, provides precise and repeatable settings. With a maximum operating pressure of 3000 PSI and a temperature range of -15°F to 200°F, this valve is built to withstand demanding industrial conditions.

Will this here flow control valve work okay in a hydraulic system that's gonna see some pretty high pressure, say around 2800 PSI on the regular?

This valve is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 3000 PSI, so you should be good to go in a system running consistently around 2800 PSI.

got a cylinder that wants to run one speed extend, but i need it to come back quick. is that what this valve’s for?

For that kind of setup, it’s a good fit. It gives controlled flow in one direction, then allows free flow the other way, so you can slow the cylinder one way and let it return faster in the opposite direction.

flow adjustment on this thing, can you do it while the system's still running under pressure, or do you have to shut everything down first?

You can make flow adjustments while the system is under pressure, no shutdown needed. The knob is aluminum with color coding and a numerical readout, so you can dial in your setting and know exactly where you are without guessing. Once you've got it where you want it, there's a set screw that lets you lock the adjustment in place so it won't drift on you.
