Constructed from malleable iron with machine bolts and hex nuts, the Malleable Iron Double Bolt Clamp, 3.50 To 3.81 Inch Diameter from Dixon Valve & Coupling is designed for secure hose clamping across a clamping range of 3.500 to 3.8125 inches. The two-saddle design distributes clamping force evenly, while dual gripping ridges on the inner surface help maintain a firm, slip-resistant hold on the hose.

Reinforced bolt lugs resist bending out of alignment under load, supporting consistent performance at the rated torque of 40 lb-ft. Torque values are based on dry bolts, use of lubricant on the bolts will adversely affect clamp performance. This clamp is not recommended for use with helical wire hose.

bolts on this thing, do they need any kind of grease or anti-seize before torquing down?

Keep the bolts dry when you're torquing them. The 40 lb-ft torque rating on this clamp is based on dry bolt conditions, and putting any lubricant on them will throw off the clamping performance. It's one of those details that's easy to overlook but makes a real difference in how the clamp holds.

got a hose that measures right at 3 3/4 inch on the outside, will this clamp tighten down on that ok?

It covers hose outside diameters from 3.50 inches up to 3.8125 inches, so a 3.75 inch OD falls inside the adjustment range.
