SPX STONE 2P4W WITH DPO CHECKS

Description & Features

Designed for demanding hydraulic circuit control applications, the SPX Stone 2P4W With Dpo Checks is a two-position, four-way directional valve configuration supplied by SPX Flow. The integrated dual pilot-operated checks help prevent unintended load drift by locking cylinder ports when the valve is in the center or neutral position, making it well suited for applications where load holding is a priority.

As part of the SPX Flow Stone valve line, this unit reflects the reliability and performance standards associated with the brand in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems. The 2P4W configuration supports bidirectional actuator control, and the inclusion of DPO checks simplifies circuit design by consolidating load-holding functionality within a single valve assembly.

Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Danny R on Oct 20, 2025, 6:40 PM
what exactly do the DPO checks do in this valve, and why would that matter for a cylinder application?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 22, 2025, 8:03 AM
Load drift is the short answer. When the valve shifts to neutral or center position, the dual pilot-operated checks lock the cylinder ports so the load just sits there and holds position. Without something like that built in, hydraulic cylinders can creep under load, especially if there's any internal leakage elsewhere in the circuit. Having those checks integrated into the valve assembly also means you don't have to plumb in separate load-holding valves on the outside, which keeps the circuit cleaner and cuts down on potential leak points.
