Rated for flow up to 100 GPM and a maximum operating pressure of 300 PSI, the KF3 Series Return Filter, SAE-24 Ports, 9.0 Inch 25.0 Micron Synthetic Element is built for demanding hydraulic return line service. The die-cast aluminum head and steel element case provide a durable housing combination suited to continuous industrial use.
Filtration is handled by a 25-micron synthetic element with a 9.0-inch length, and a Buna-N seal is standard. The bypass valve cracks at 30 PSI with full flow achieved at 51 PSI, and element change clearance is 1.50 inches. A pop-up indicator is included for visual element condition monitoring. Operating temperature range spans -20°F to 225°F.
SAE-24 porting is configured on this unit, and the KF3 Series is also available with pipe, flange, and ISO 228 port options. The series meets the HF4 automotive standard and supports various Dirt Alarm® indicator configurations.

Question by: Billy P on May 29, 2025, 5:07 PM
got a return line that sees right around 90 gpm, is this filter gonna keep up?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 31, 2025, 6:28 AM
For flow, it is rated up to 100 GPM when you are running 150 SUS fluids, so 90 GPM is within the stated capacity.
Question by: Daryl P on Sep 11, 2025, 1:59 PM
bypass valve on this thing, when does it actually open up and let fluid through unrestricted?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 12, 2025, 2:59 PM
Cracking pressure on the bypass valve is 30 PSI, and it reaches full flow at 51 PSI. That range gives you a heads-up window before the element is fully bypassed, which is part of why the pop-up indicator is included. Once you see that indicator trigger, the element needs attention before differential pressure climbs high enough to push fluid around it completely.
