Designed for manual directional control in pneumatic systems, the L2 Series 4-Way Manually Operated Pneumatic Valve, Hand Lever, Spring Return, 1/4 Inch NPT Ports, Up To 79 SCFM is a hand-lever actuated valve with spring return action, suited for applications requiring direct operator control without electrical or pilot actuation.

Rated for flow up to 79 SCFM with a Cv of 1.7, this Numatics valve operates across a pressure range of 28" Hg vacuum to 150 PSIG and handles temperatures from -10°F to +115°F. The 1/4 inch NPT port configuration supports both in-line and manifold mounting arrangements. Lubricated or unlubricated service is supported, adding flexibility across a range of pneumatic circuits.

The L2 Series platform also accommodates solenoid, air pilot, and hand-lever actuated configurations, making it a versatile directional control option within compatible pneumatic assemblies.

got an air cylinder i need to run forward and back by hand. is this the kind of valve for that or am i off base

For manual forward and reverse control in a pneumatic circuit, this is a fit. It is a 4-way hand lever valve with spring return, so it is meant for direct operator directional control without electrical or pilot actuation.

What's the pressure range on this valve, and will it handle vacuum on the inlet side?

Rated from 28 inches of mercury vacuum all the way up to 150 PSIG, so yes, it'll work on the vacuum side without issue. The spring return action brings it back to its default position once you let go of the lever, and flow runs up to 79 SCFM with a Cv of 1.7. Ports are 1/4 inch NPT, so hydraulic connections it in is pretty straightforward on most standard pneumatic lines.

What's the temp range this valve can handle? Gotta make sure it doesn't freeze up on me.

It's rated to run from -10°F up to +115°F, so it should hold up well unless you're dealing with some seriously extreme conditions.
