BRAKEQUIP FITTING - BANJO 7/16 X 8.5MM - 40 DEG

Description & Features

Designed for angled hydraulic brake line connections, this 40-degree banjo fitting from Brakequip provides a reliable junction point where a standard straight fitting would create clearance or routing issues. The 7/16-inch thread size pairs with an 8.5mm banjo bore, making it suited to brake line assemblies in automotive and light industrial applications where precise fitment is essential.

The BRAKEQUIP FITTING - BANJO 7/16 X 8.5MM - 40 DEG is a Brakequip-branded component, consistent with the manufacturer's range of brake and hydraulic line fittings. The 40-degree offset angle allows for improved hose or line positioning in confined spaces, reducing stress on the connected line.

Got a brake line that has to make a tight turn coming off the caliper and there ain't much room to work with. Would the 40-degree angle on this fitting help sort that out?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 12, 2025, 9:27 AM
Tight routing situations like that are exactly where this fitting earns its keep. The 40-degree offset lets the connected line exit at an angle instead of running straight out, which takes pressure off the line itself and gives you clearance where a standard straight banjo just won't cooperate. If your caliper port is threaded 7/16-inch and your brake line runs 8.5mm through the banjo eye, this should get you out of that bind.
