got some exhaust bolts that love to seize up, is this copper anti-seize ok for that kind of heat

For hot, stubborn fasteners, this compound is made to help prevent galling and seizing while also fighting corrosion, and it is intended to hold up under high-temperature conditions.

what all is this stuff good for? i got some exhaust bolts that keep seizing up and a buddy said copper anti-seize might do the trick
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 19, 2025, 6:26 AM
Exhaust hardware is exactly the kind of application this compound handles well. High heat, constant expansion and contraction, and metal-on-metal contact are what cause those bolts to lock up over time. Coating the threads before installation gives them a buffer against galling, corrosion, and the kind of cold-welding that makes removal such a nightmare later. It works across industrial maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and electrical maintenance contexts, so yeah, your exhaust bolts are squarely in the wheelhouse here.
