putting this Anchor flange valve in, do i really not need any thread tape or sealant on it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 11, 2026, 2:01 PM
For this valve, the design is called out as needing no thread sealant, so you do not have to use thread tape or pipe dope as part of the install.

Does this valve need any thread sealant during install, or is it good to go right out of the box?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 6, 2025, 6:36 AM
No sealant needed. The design handles that on its own, so you can cut out that step entirely and get it installed faster without worrying about tape or compound.
