Product Questions & Answers (1)
Question by: Vince H on Nov 14, 2025, 5:57 PM
clamp's only 5/16 wide, will that be enough to hold a hose steady without slipping or letting pressure creep through?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 15, 2025, 7:21 PM
For connections in the 9/16 to 1-1/16 inch diameter range, that band width handles the job fine. The max recommended torque is 10 in. lbs., so as long as you're not cranking past that, the clamp seats evenly and holds without walking or loosening under normal conditions. The all-stainless build, 300 series band and housing with a 410 series screw, adds to the grip staying consistent over time without corrosion eating into the contact surface.
