Steel Adapter, 1/2-14 Male BSPP (British Parallel) To 3/4-16 Female JIC 37 deg Flare, Straight

Description & Features

The BSPP to 37deg; Flare Steel Adapter ensures compatibility and reliability in industrial applications. This adapter seamlessly connects a 1/2-14 Male BSPP (British Parallel) thread to a 3/4-16 Female JIC 37-degree flare fitting, making it ideal for hydraulic systems requiring precise connections.

Manufactured by Adaptall America, this adapter features high strength and durability due to its steel construction. It is designed for environments where robust and reliable connections are critical. The absence of thread sealant means it is suitable for applications where direct metal-to-metal contact is required for sealing.

The thread specifications for this adapter are 1/2-14 for the BSPP side and 3/4-16 for the JIC side, ensuring proper fit and function. This product is a key component for ensuring efficient fluid transfer in various industrial settings.

trying to hook a british parallel male port to a jic hose end. is this the right adapter or am i mixing stuff up
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 6, 2025, 10:06 AM
For that kind of hookup, it’s meant to bridge a 1/2-14 Male BSPP (British Parallel) thread over to a 3/4-16 Female JIC 37 degree flare in a straight adapter. If your two sides match those thread types and sizes, it’s the correct style.
Question by: Wes S on May 28, 2025, 5:51 PM
Got a hydraulic line running BSPP on one end and JIC on the other. This adapter gonna bridge that gap without needing any tape or sealant on the threads?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 30, 2025, 12:25 PM
Metal-to-metal contact handles the sealing on both ends, so no thread sealant is needed. The BSPP side is 1/2-14 and the JIC side is a 3/4-16 female with the standard 37-degree flare seat. That flare geometry is what creates the seal on the JIC end, and the BSPP parallel thread does its job on the other side the same way. No tape, no paste, just a proper torqued connection.
