Product Questions & Answers (2)
Question by: Scott G on Sep 28, 2025, 2:15 PM
does this cap need any kind of thread sealant to hold a good seal, or is it good to go as-is?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 30, 2025, 6:30 AM
No sealant is required. The cap is built to close off pipe ends securely on its own, so you can thread it on and trust the seal without adding tape or compound to the joint.
Question by: Danny K on Feb 28, 2026, 6:17 PM
got a 1 inch male pipe thread sticking out, is this cap gonna screw on like it ought to?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 2, 2026, 7:38 AM
Built for a 1 inch pipe thread connection, the cap is threaded to the American Briggs Standard, so it matches common industry standard male pipe threads in that size.
