Description & Features

Designed for mobile hydraulic applications, this Eaton Vickers Medium Duty Mobile Piston Pump delivers a displacement of 1.16 cu in/rev and a rated flow of 9 GPM at speeds up to 2,500 RPM. The pressure compensated control allows the pump to automatically adjust output to match system demand, making it well-suited for mobile equipment where load conditions vary.

The compact, lightweight aluminum housing keeps weight low without sacrificing durability, a practical consideration for vehicle-mounted hydraulic circuits. Mounting is via a 2-Bolt SAE A flange, and the drive connection uses a 9-tooth SAE A splined shaft. An auxiliary mounting flange is available, and multiple shaft configurations can be specified to suit different drive arrangements.

Part of the Eaton 70122 Series, this pump is finished in primer per Spec 209-13A. Recommended system cleanliness is ISO 4406 Level 18/13 or cleaner. The case must be filled with hydraulic fluid through the uppermost drain port prior to startup and kept full during use.

pump rated for continuous use or is it better suited for intermittent cycles? running it on a skid steer application and want to make sure it aint gonna cook itself at 2500 rpm all day

At 2500 RPM that's the rated top speed for this pump, so you're right at the edge of what it's built for. Mobile applications like skid steers are exactly the intended use case here, but sustained operation at max speed will put more heat into the system than cycling would. Keeping your fluid clean is a big part of making it last. Eaton calls for ISO 4406 cleanliness at level 18/13 or better, and you'll want to make sure that case drain line runs straight back to the reservoir and stays submerged below the oil level at all times. The case itself has to stay full of fluid from the moment you fire it up, so fill through the uppermost drain port before the first start. Do that right and you'll get solid service life out of it.
