The 1000/400/500 Series MIL-C-4109 Industrial Interchange Air Swing Coupling Female Half With Safety Vent -06 Coupling 3/8-18 Female NPT by RTC North America Ltd ensures high tool performance with its efficient design. This coupling features a protective collar to prevent accidental disconnection and a pin latching mechanism for secure connections.

Constructed from durable zinc and nickel-plated steel this coupling swivels 360deg; to reduce hose kinking. It meets MIL-C-4109 dimensional requirements for interchangeability and provides safe automatic venting of trapped air during disconnection. The Buna-N seal material is standard ensuring a tight seal without the need for thread sealant.

Ideal for industrial applications it interchanges seamlessly with Aeroquip FD40 Series and other major coupling brands. The coupling is designed with an automatic sleeve for one-hand push-to-connect operation making it user-friendly and reliable.

what's the deal with that safety vent feature on this coupling

Safety vents automatically release trapped air pressure when you disconnect the coupling, preventing dangerous pressure buildup and making disconnection safer. Without it, stored pressure could cause the coupling to pop off forcefully when disconnected, which creates safety hazards in industrial air systems.

I’m lookin to hook up some air tools... will this fit standard fittings?

This female half coupling is made to the MIL-C-4109 standard, which is an industrial interchange. It has a 3/8-18 female NPT thread, so as long as your air tools and fittings are compatible with that standard and thread size, it should work for you.
