Engineered for general pneumatics construction and industrial plants this Eaton FD40 Series Air Quick Disconnect offers reliable performance under varying temperatures from -40deg;F and above. Designed to meet the MIL-C-4109 dimensional requirements it ensures industrial interchangeability facilitating smooth integration within your existing systems.

Constructed with a protective collar and an automatic sleeve the quick disconnect prevents accidental disconnections and allows for easy one-hand push-to-connect operation. The robust pin latching mechanism combined with a standard body material of brass provides long-lasting durability and seal integrity.

Featuring a 1/2-14 NPTF thread and a Buna-N standard seal material this coupling is tailored for a maximum operating pressure of up to 500 PSI making it ideal for demanding industrial applications. The male half of the coupling swivels 360deg; effectively reducing hose kinking and ensuring smooth operational flow.

Running this on a general plant air setup, will it hold up at 500 PSI without leaking down over time?

At 500 PSI, this is right at the rated max for the Aeroquip models in this series, so it's built to handle that load in a steady plant air environment. The brass body and Buna-N seal work together to hold integrity at that pressure. Just keep in mind that 500 PSI is the ceiling, not a suggested sweet spot, so if your system runs close to that regularly, make sure your lines and fittings upstream are matched accordingly.
