got a hose end that’s 5/16 jic male, 1/2-20 UNF. is this the right adapter to go over to 1/4 BSPP male?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 12, 2025, 9:42 PM
For a straight adapter from 5/16 inch JIC male with a 1/2 - 20 UNF thread to 1/4 inch BSPP male with a G 1/4 - 19 thread, that’s exactly what this Adaptall fitting is built for.

Got a hose end that's 5/16" JIC male and need to tie it into a 1/4" BSPP male port on a foreign-built piece of equipment. This the right fitting for that job?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 24, 2025, 5:34 PM
That's exactly what this fitting handles. One end is a 5/16" JIC male with a 1/2-20 UNF thread, and the other is a 1/4" BSPP male with a G 1/4-19 thread. It's a straight steel adapter, so as long as both your connection points match those specs, you're in good shape.

Will this fitting hold up okay if I'm using it for hydraulics on a log splitter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 17, 2025, 6:18 AM
This fitting is made from steel, so it should be durable enough for that application, as long as you're within the pressure ratings for your splitter's system. Just make sure you get it snugged down right.
