Question by: Harold R on Jul 10, 2025, 9:49 PM
What kind of clamps do I need for this hose if I ain't using the Socketless fittings?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 12, 2025, 11:43 AM
Shank or universal type fittings can be attached using pinch clamps, preformed clamps, or bolt clamps.
Question by: Earl B on Dec 30, 2025, 7:38 PM
what's the temp range on this hose for running plain air through it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 1, 2026, 6:19 AM
For air service, it's rated from -40°F up to 160°F. That covers most shop and production line conditions without any issue. Water service actually runs a bit higher, topping out at 185°F, and fuel or lube oil applications go all the way to 260°F. So depending on what you're running through it, the limits shift accordingly.
Question by: Bobby S on Apr 6, 2025, 3:13 PM
got a 1/4 inch line on a small air tool setup. is this hose actually rated for 250 psi or is that just burst
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 7, 2025, 4:22 PM
Max operating pressure on this hose is 250 PSI. It’s also rated for vacuum service up to 28.
Question by: Donna H on Aug 7, 2025, 6:51 AM
this hose rated for anything besides straight air, or is it pretty much a one-trick pony?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 9, 2025, 6:47 AM
Air is just one of several fluids it handles fine. The tube is vinyl nitrile, which gives it solid resistance to oils, so it works for conveying water, lubricating oils, and fuel as well. Production lines often run it to feed lubricated air to valves and cylinders, and it's also listed for low-pressure hydraulic service. The temperature range shifts depending on what you're moving through it: up to 160°F for air, 185°F for water, and 260°F for fuel and lubrication oil. So depending on your setup, it could pull duty in more than one role on the same line.
