Designed for inline pressure filtration in demanding hydraulic circuits, the NF30 Series 3000 PSI Pressure Filter, SAE -12 Ports, 5.25 Inch 10.0 Micron Paper Element from Schroeder Industries handles flow rates up to 20 GPM and operates across a temperature range of -20°F to 225°F.
The all-aluminum assembly features a top-ported head and aluminum element case, keeping weight low without sacrificing durability. SAE -12 porting provides a straightforward connection to standard hydraulic lines. The 10.0 micron paper element fits within a 5.25 inch housing, requiring just 4.50 inches of clearance for element changes. Bypass cracking pressure is set at 40 PSI with full flow at 85 PSI; a non-bypass configuration with high-collapse element is also available for applications where bypass is not acceptable.
Buna-N seals are standard, and each unit ships with a visual indicator to signal when element service is due. In addition to SAE straight thread, the NF30 series is offered in pipe and ISO 228 porting configurations to suit varied system requirements.

got about 18 gpm going through my circuit. is this NF30 filter gonna keep up without being a bottleneck
Answer by: Customer Support on May 24, 2025, 6:10 AM
For flow, the NF30 series is rated up to 20 GPM with 150 SUS fluids, so 18 GPM falls inside its stated capacity.
Question by: Tammy F on Sep 23, 2025, 10:23 AM
bypass kicks in at 40 psi cracking but what pressure does it hit full flow? running a sensitive circuit and tryna figure out how much headroom I got before fluid starts going around the element
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 25, 2025, 6:25 AM
Cracking starts at 40 PSI and full bypass flow is reached at 85 PSI. Between those two points the bypass valve is partially open, so if your circuit can't tolerate unfiltered fluid getting through under any conditions, Schroeder does offer a non-bypass version of this filter with a high-collapse element that blocks bypass entirely. That version is purpose-built for exactly the kind of sensitive circuit you're describing.
Question by: Brett S on Dec 14, 2025, 10:10 AM
Will this fit on my Kubota tractor? I need a filter that can handle about 20 GPM.
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 15, 2025, 8:39 PM
This NF30 series filter is rated to handle up to 20 GPM with 150 SUS fluids, and has SAE -12 ports for connecting to your hydraulic lines.
