Yes, this NV1-10 series valve requires a C-10-2 cavity for installation, but the housing is sold separately.

got a cavity already cut for C-10-2. will this needle valve drop in there, or am i missing something

The key detail is the cavity size. This valve is meant for a C-10-2 cavity, but the NV1-10 cartridge itself is sold separately and this item also ships with no housing. So it matches the C-10-2 cavity requirement, but you will still need the NV1-10 cartridge to actually install it.

The housing is sold separately on this one. What you're getting here is the cartridge valve itself with the black rotary knob. It requires a machined cavity sized to C-10-2 for installation, so you'll need to source that housing independently before you can put it to work.

The cartridge itself does not include a housing. You'll need a machined cavity or a separate housing compatible with cavity size C-10-2 before you can put this valve to work. That housing is sold separately, so make sure you have it sourced before the job starts.
