Constructed from nylon with brass cam levers and plated steel pins, rings, and safety clips, the Nylon Cam & Groove Adapter, Male Half, 2 Inch Hose Shank is a lightweight, corrosion-resistant fitting suited for liquid transfer applications in industrial environments. Buna-N seals are included as standard. The 2-inch hose shank end connects directly to compatible hose assemblies, while the cam and groove end couples and uncouples quickly by hand, no tools required.

Rated to 150 PSI for sizes up to 4 inches, this fitting is interchangeable with all products manufactured to standard A-A-59326 (superseding Mil-C-27487F) or Din 2828. Female couplers with the safety pin feature accept safety pins through cast-in lugs, preventing accidental uncoupling during use. This fitting is designed for liquid service only and is not approved for compressed air or steam.

these cam and groove fittings, can you run em with compressed air or is it strictly liquid service?

Liquid only on these. Cam and groove couplings in this style are not rated for compressed air or steam under any circumstances. That's a hard limitation across the whole product line, not just this size. For water, chemicals, or other liquid transfer applications though, the 2-inch nylon fitting works well and handles up to 150 PSI.

Is this nylon camlock safe for use with transferring things like gasoline or solvents?

got a 2 inch hose, how does this thing actually hook up and come back off without tools?

To couple it, slide the male adapter into the matching cam and groove coupler, then press the cam levers down by hand. To uncouple, lift the cam arms back up and pull the adapter out.
