what exactly is this cap used for on an ORS fitting? trying to figure out if it'll work for capping off a port we ain't using right now

ORS caps like this one are used to seal off open O-Ring Face Seal ports when a line isn't connected. The OR-6 fits a -6 size ORS port, so if you've got an unused -6 port you need blocked off, this is the right piece for it. Keeps contamination out and holds pressure in the circuit until you're ready to put something on that port.
