The Overhung Load Adapter for Char-Lynn H & S Series 4-Bolt Motors is engineered to protect motors pumps and brakes from axial and radial stresses generated by side loads.

With a 1 in. straight keyed input shaft featuring a 1/4 x 1/8 key and a matching output shaft this adapter is perfect for heavy-duty motor accessories. It delivers impressive bearing life especially when load is positioned near the unit. Deep-groove ball bearings provide robust support and reliability. It has an estimated working life of 1500 hours thanks to its high-quality construction and precise design.

The bodies are made from 25 000 tensile strength cast iron while the shafts consist of 130 000 PSI stress-proof steel. Lubrication varies with RPM ensuring optimal performance under different speeds. For instance bearing grease or oil is recommended below 1800 RPM while low viscosity oil lubrication is suitable for speeds up to 2500 RPM.

Ideal for safeguarding shaft seals from contaminants which are common causes of motor failure it is essential for maintaining operational integrity. Horizontal mounting comes standard though special attention is required for vertical setups. The product includes a table for calculating overhung load and detailing required lubrication amounts.

Will this adapter work with any Char-Lynn H series motor, or just certain ones?

got a chain drive hanging off the shaft and it’s been hard on my motor seal. is that what this overhung adapter is for?
