Does this pump handle both foot and hand operation, or is it strictly one or the other?

Either works fine. The treadle on the PA133 is built to run by foot or by hand, so you can work it however the job calls for. That kind of flexibility comes in handy when you're in a tight spot and can't always get a foot on it the right way.

trying to run a single acting cylinder, does this pump let you advance it, hold it, then retract it back?
