PC-50 Series Cylinder Port Single Pilot Operated Check Valve, 1/2 NPT Main Port, 1/4 NPT Pilot Port, Up To 16.00 GPM

Description & Features

Constructed with a robust cast iron body chrome alloy steel ball and Delrin check seat this check valve ensures dependable performance under pressure. Operating at a maximum pressure of 3000 PSI it handles flow rates up to 16 GPM with its 1/2 NPT main port and 1/4 NPT pilot port. Ideal for locking cylinders without leakage even when control valves are in a neutral position this valve prevents reverse flow until pilot pressure is applied unlocking the circuit efficiently. A 4-way control valve is required for proper operation in all lock valve circuits including single-acting cylinders. Follow catalog recommendations and application guidelines to maintain safety and efficiency. This valve should not be used in load holding applications with overrunning loads or where precise load release speed is critical. Ensure mechanical load support during servicing or removal to avoid hazards from trapped pressure.

What size fittings does this thing use?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 27, 2025, 10:41 AM
It uses 1/2 NPT for the main port and 1/4 NPT for the pilot port.

Got a cylinder on a loader that keeps drifting when the control valve's sittin' in neutral. Would this lock valve keep it from movin' without me havin' to do anything else to the circuit?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 2, 2025, 6:08 AM
Locking a cylinder against drift in neutral is exactly what this valve is built for. It blocks reverse flow out of the cylinder until pilot pressure is applied, so when your control valve is in neutral, nothing moves. One thing worth knowing: you'll need a 4-way control valve in the circuit for this to work correctly, and that goes for single-acting setups too, not just double-acting. The 4-way is what supplies the unlocking pressure to the pilot port when you want the cylinder to move. If your existing valve is already a 4-way, you're in good shape on that front.
