This product is designed specifically for instrumentation hydraulic and pneumatic systems ensuring reliability and safety. It is made from CA360 brass providing robustness and durability in diverse applications.

The low-cost fitting is easy to assemble with no flaring required and comes with a broad selection of styles and sizes. It can be used with aluminum copper and plastic tubing though plastic tubing except Eaton PT230 requires the 2030 insert.

Meeting ASA ASME and SAE specifications it also conforms to Underwriters Laboratories standards for flammable liquids on special order. The fittings working pressure is up to 2000 psi with a 4:1 safety factor depending on tube size. For plastic tubing use the working pressure for the type used. Temperature range is from -65F to +250F with metal tubing.

Features include fair resistance to vibration with an option to use a long nut for increased vibration resistance. It is listed under UNSPSC 40183100 for easy cataloging and reference.

Will this work with regular old plastic tubing, or do I need something special?

For most plastic tubing, you'll need to use an insert along with this support. However, if you're using Eaton PT230 tubing, you can skip the insert.

got some plastic tubing I'm trying to support and wasn't sure if this insert thing is actually required or just optional

For plastic tubing, the 2030 insert is required unless you're running Eaton PT230 tubing specifically. Any other plastic tubing needs that insert installed before the fitting will work correctly. It's not optional for standard plastic lines, so make sure you've got it on hand before you start the job.

got 1/4 inch plastic tubing, do i need an insert with this tube support or does it just tighten down?

For plastic tubing, an insert is required except when you are using Eaton PT230 plastic tubing. This part is the 2030 series tube support meant for 0.25 inch tube OD, and it’s used with brass compression tube fittings so the plastic tube is properly supported when you tighten the nut.
