The Polypropylene Cam & Groove Coupler Female Half 2 Inch Male NPT is structured for liquid applications and is constructed primarily from a blend of 70% polypropylene and 30% fiberglass providing robustness and durability. The use of EPDM for the seal material ensures a reliable and tight seal making it apt for various liquid handling scenarios.
Featuring stainless steel cam lever handles this coupler is designed to maintain performance and reliability. The safety clip feature of the female couplers is essential in preventing accidental disconnection through the attachment of safety pins. These couplers interchange with products produced to MIL-C-27487F and DIN282 standards guaranteeing broad compatibility.
Manufactured by Kuriyama this coupler has a maximum pressure rating of 150 PSI suitable for a range of industrial uses. It is critical to highlight that under no circumstances should this product be used for compressed air or steam services. Refer to the hose section of the catalog for fitting attachment suggestions.

Question by: Diane O on Sep 15, 2025, 7:55 PM
Will this cam lock fitting hold up to gasoline, or do I need something else?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 17, 2025, 3:33 PM
This coupler's body is made from polypropylene and fiberglass, and the seal is EPDM. It's designed for liquid applications, but you should contact us with the specifics of your gasoline use case for a recommendation.
Question by: Joyce M on Mar 16, 2026, 7:07 PM
These cam and groove couplings, can they be hooked up to a compressed air line if the pressure stays real low, like under 50 PSI?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 18, 2026, 6:10 PM
Compressed air is off the table completely with these, no matter the pressure. That restriction isn't about ratings or flow, it's a hard safety prohibition that applies across the entire cam and groove coupling line. Liquids only. If you're running air, you'd need to look at a different coupler type altogether.
