Constructed from a 70% polypropylene and 30% fiberglass body with stainless steel cam lever handles, this 1-inch dust cap coupling is built for reliable liquid transfer service. The Polypropylene Cam & Groove Adapter, 1 Inch Dust Cap features a Buna-N seal and includes a safety clip as standard. The cam lever design incorporates lugs that accept safety pins, preventing unintentional uncoupling during use.
Rated to 150 PSI for sizes up to 4 inches, this fitting conforms to Mil-C-27487F and Din 282 interchange standards, making it compatible with a wide range of cam and groove couplings from other manufacturers. Intended exclusively for liquid service, not suitable for compressed air or steam applications.

got a 1 inch camlock setup already. will this dust cap swap in with other brands or am i asking for trouble
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 18, 2025, 6:20 AM
For interchange, it matches the common cam and groove standards MIL-C-27487F and DIN 282, so it’s meant to couple with other manufacturers’ cam and groove parts built to those standards.
Question by: Terry M on Dec 7, 2025, 9:28 AM
heard these cam and groove fittings won't work with air lines -- is that right for this one too?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 9, 2025, 6:33 AM
Correct on that. Cam and groove couplings, including this one, are rated for liquid service only. Compressed air and steam are both off the table, no exceptions. The 150 PSI pressure rating applies strictly to liquid applications in sizes up to 4 inches.
