Head & Holding Tank Premium Sanitation Hose, 1.50 Inch ID

Description & Features

Designed for robust performance, the Head & Holding Tank Premium Sanitation Hose is ideal for marine sanitation systems, offering exceptional resistance to odor permeation and antifreeze. Featuring an extra-thick tube and cover, this hose ensures long-lasting durability. The 1.50-inch internal diameter and 2.08-inch external diameter provide optimal flow capacity, while the helical wire reinforcement enhances flexibility and a tight bend radius. This premium hose excels in installations that promote self-draining, ensuring the longest odor-free performance available on the market.

Constructed by Trident Marine Systems, this hose is compatible with brass and stainless steel shank-type fittings secured with stainless steel T-bolt clamps. However, it is not suitable for potable water applications. Available in a 50-foot roll, this hose meets the demanding needs of head and holding tank systems.

Question by: Connie S on Aug 30, 2025, 8:06 PM
Got a 1-1/2 inch sanitation run on my boat. Is this hose actually 1.50 ID, and what’s the outside diameter so I can see if it’ll fit my clamps and routing?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 1, 2025, 4:51 PM
For sizing, the inside diameter is 1.50 inch and the outside diameter is 2.08 inch. It’s sold as a premium hardwall sanitation hose for head and holding tank lines, so that OD is worth checking anywhere you have tight chases, bulkhead holes, or clamps that need to span the hose.

Will this hose hold up if I run antifreeze through it for winter storage on my boat?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 25, 2025, 8:54 AM
This premium sanitation hose is constructed with an extra-thick tube and cover, specially designed to resist damage from antifreeze during winterizing.
Question by: Warren J on Nov 30, 2025, 12:15 PM
does this hose hold up alright when you flush antifreeze through it for winterizing? heard some sanitation hose gets ate up pretty quick by the stuff
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 2, 2025, 9:35 AM
Winterizing with antifreeze is actually something this hose was built to handle. The tube and cover are specially compounded to resist that kind of exposure, so running antifreeze through it during layup shouldn't cause the degradation you'd see with a standard sanitation hose. That said, self-draining installations are still the better setup if you can manage it, since sitting fluid is harder on any hose over time regardless of the compound.
