Question by: Rusty F on Jul 7, 2025, 7:12 PM
got a 1-7/8 inch line on my boat, is this hose actually 1.875 ID or is it one of those “close enough” sizes?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 9, 2025, 6:23 AM
For sizing, the inside diameter is listed as 1.875 inch, which is the same as 1-7/8 inch. It’s intended for head and holding tank sanitation runs where that ID is needed.
Question by: Larry W on Feb 20, 2026, 6:05 PM
does this hose hold up alright when you're winterizing with antifreeze? heard some hoses get stiff or crack after a season or two
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 22, 2026, 8:40 AM
The tube and cover on this hose are specially compounded to handle winterizing with antifreeze, so running antifreeze through it during layup is not a problem. The material is built to resist that kind of exposure without breaking down over time. That said, self-draining installations are still the recommended setup for longest service life, even with a hose this tough.
