Enerpac | 4.9 ton Capacity, 5.00 in Stroke, General Purpose Hydraulic Cylinder | RC55

Description & Features

Rated for a 4.9-ton capacity at 10,000 psi (700 bar) maximum operating pressure, the Enerpac RC-55 4.9 ton Capacity, 5.00 in Stroke, General Purpose Hydraulic Cylinder is a compact, single-acting hydraulic cylinder built for demanding industrial lifting, pushing, and pressing tasks. The 5 in (127 mm) stroke and 1.13 in (28.6 mm) bore diameter make it well suited for applications where controlled force output and precise positioning are required in tight work envelopes.

Part of the Enerpac RC-Series, this cylinder features composite wear bands and a hardened stop ring that resist side-load, reducing wear over extended service. A pre-tensioned spring system supports fast plunger retraction, while high-grade polyethylene seals and a plunger wiper help limit contamination and extend service life. Collar and plunger threads along with base mounting holes allow straightforward fixturing. The baked enamel exterior provides corrosion resistance, and the cylinder is designed for use in all positions. At 4.1 lbs (1.9 kg), it is practical to reposition between jobs. Includes a CR400 coupler, dust cap, and collar thread protector.

Got an older RC-Series cylinder on the shelf, will this RC55 swap in without having to re-rig everything?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 6, 2025, 7:56 AM
Same external dimensions and thread patterns carried over from the prior RC-Series, so it drops right in wherever an older RC cylinder was running. No reworking your fixturing or fittings to make it fit.

got an older Enerpac RC-Series cylinder, is the RC-55 gonna match up with the same threads and dimensions?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 4, 2025, 4:27 PM
Good news if you are swapping from a prior RC-Series model, the RC-TRIO cylinders keep the same RC-Series model numbers along with the external dimensions and threads, so the RC-55 stays compatible in that regard.
