Got a lift job where clearance is real tight, does this cylinder have enough travel to be worth usin, or is the stroke too short for most practical work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 23, 2025, 6:43 AM
At 2.44 inches of stroke, it's purpose-built for low-clearance situations where you just need enough travel to break a load free or seat a component. That kind of stroke is plenty for production fixtures, press frames, and maintenance lifts where the range of motion is controlled and predictable. If your job calls for longer travel, this ain't the right tool. But for tight-quarters lifting where every inch of height matters, the short stroke is a feature, not a limitation.

tight spot under a machine, how short is this cylinder when it’s collapsed?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 7, 2025, 8:33 PM
With a 2.44 inch stroke and a low profile build, it’s meant for jobs where you do not have much room to work. The key spec you can count on is the 2.44 inch (62 mm) travel, so you are only gaining that amount of height from fully retracted to fully extended.
