This SPX Hydraulic Technologies retaining ring plier kit contains both internal and external pliers with eight replaceable tip sets. The kit includes two sets each of .038" diameter 90° bend tips, .047" diameter straight tips, .047" diameter 90° bend tips, and .070" diameter straight tips.

Recommended for use with 1/4"–2" rings, this retaining ring pliers kit is packaged in a plastic storage case. The professional pliers kit contains six convertible retaining pliers to handle both internal and external rings from 1/4"–2", including straight and 90° off-set pliers with .038", .047", and .070" tip diameters. The kit is packaged in an impact resistant storage case.

does this kit come with both internal and external pliers, or do you have to buy them separate?

Both are included. The kit comes with one internal plier and one external plier, plus eight tip sets total. You get two sets each of .038" diameter 90-degree bend, .047" diameter straight, .047" diameter 90-degree bend, and .070" diameter straight tips. Everything stores together in a plastic case, so nothing gets scattered around the shop.
