Rated for 150 tons of force at 10,000 PSI, this low-profile hydraulic cylinder is built for confined-space lifting and pressing applications where vertical clearance is limited to as little as 1-5/8 inches. The RLS Series Low Profile Single-Acting Cylinder features a cylinder effective area of 30.680 sq in, an extended height of 4.563 inches, and a 9/16-inch stroke, making it well-suited for situations where space constraints rule out standard-height cylinders.

Manufactured by SPX Hydraulic Technologies, the cylinder body, piston, and gland nut receive "Power Tech" surface treatment for corrosion and abrasion resistance. A swivel cap minimizes the effects of off-center loading, and a heavy-duty spring provides fast piston return. Each cylinder ships with an A 9796 3/8-inch NPTF female half coupler, angled upward for additional clearance. Oil ports are 3/8-inch NPTF. Conforms to ASME B30.1.

tight spot job. what’s the smallest clearance you can get away with on this cylinder?

For confined lifting or pressing, it’s intended for areas with about 1-5/8 inch up to 4 inches of clearance. Extended height is 4.563 inches, so it’s a good fit when a standard-height cylinder just will not physically fit.
