The RT Series In-Tank Return Filter is designed for efficient fluid filtration in industrial settings. Featuring a 9.0-inch synthetic element with a 10.0-micron rating, this filter ensures optimal cleanliness of hydraulic fluids. Its SAE-20 port accommodates easy integration into existing systems. Constructed with a die-cast aluminum porting head and cap, alongside a steel element case, this filter is built for durability. It operates under a maximum pressure of 100 psi and supports fluid temperatures ranging from -20°F to 225°F, making it versatile for various applications.
This low-pressure, tank-mounted filter supports up to 100 gallons per minute, providing reliable performance for demanding environments. With up to three inlet ports and a cracking bypass setting of 25 psi, it meets HF4 automotive standards, ensuring compliance and reliability. The optional check valve feature prevents reservoir siphoning, adding an extra layer of operational security.

Question by: Brent E on Dec 10, 2025, 6:42 AM
bypass setting on this thing is 25 psi to crack open -- does that mean it'll hold up fine running return line flow at normal operating pressures without blowing by too early?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 11, 2025, 10:33 AM
At 25 psi cracking and 48 psi full flow, the bypass is calibrated for low-pressure return line duty, not high-pressure supply lines. As long as your return flow stays within the 100 gpm rating and your system isn't pushing excessive backpressure, the bypass won't open under normal conditions. It's a tank-mounted filter, so return line pressures are typically well below that 25 psi threshold during regular operation.

What size are them ports? I gotta make sure it fits my setup.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 21, 2025, 10:41 AM
This return filter uses SAE-20 ports for easy connection into your existing hydraulic system.
Question by: Frank S on Aug 30, 2025, 9:50 PM
got a return line with an SAE-20 hookup. will this filter head match that port size?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 1, 2025, 6:19 AM
The porting on this RT Series in-tank return filter is SAE-20, and this specific configuration lists the other ports as none. It is a low-pressure, tank-mounted return filter setup with a die-cast aluminum head and cap.
