RV3-10 Series Direct-Acting Relief Cartridge Valve, 50-300 PSI Screw Adjustment

Description & Features

The RV3-10 Series Direct-Acting Relief Cartridge Valve is engineered for high-performance applications in harvesters, refuse haulers, and various mobile and industrial settings. Recognized for its reliability and compact structure, this valve ensures maximum flexibility while occupying minimal space.

Designed with a 50-300 PSI adjustable range, the valve allows for precise control and adjustment via its screw-type mechanism. Its direct-acting operation combined with poppet style guarantees fast response and contamination tolerance.

This valve supports a maximum operating pressure of 3600 PSI, although caution is advised for pressures exceeding 3000 PSI, which require steel housing. The valve exhibits minimal leakage at 0.25 cc/min and has a maximum flow rate of 20 GPM, making it highly efficient for demanding applications.

Manufactured under the DANFOSS -Hydraulics brand, the RV3-10 offers a recommended filtration level of 18/16/13 microns ensuring optimal performance. The valve features Buna-N seals and does not require special housing configurations. Installation is straightforward with its screw-in cartridge design.

Question by: Kirk W on May 21, 2025, 7:28 PM
trying to set it up around 200 psi, is that even in the adjustment range on this one?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 23, 2025, 1:46 PM
Range-wise you are good. The screw adjustment on this RV3-10 cartridge is rated 50 to 300 PSI, so a 200 PSI setting falls right in the middle of what it is meant to cover.
Question by: Keith P on Nov 14, 2025, 9:37 AM
What kind of machines is this relief valve typically used on?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 15, 2025, 9:35 PM
This valve is often used in harvesters and refuse haulers, along with various mobile and industrial applications.
Question by: Rick C on Mar 30, 2025, 9:23 AM
running this on a refuse hauler and need to know if it'll hold up pressure-wise. what's the max this thing can take before it starts causing problems?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 1, 2025, 8:31 AM
Up to 3600 PSI is the rated max, but there's an important catch worth knowing before you bolt it in. Anything above 3000 PSI requires a steel housing. If you're running aluminum or other softer housings at those higher pressures, you're asking for trouble down the road. For most refuse hauler circuits staying in a more moderate range, you're well within the valve's operating window without any special housing concerns.
