The Eaton Aeroquip Teflon Hose 3/16ID is engineered for premium abrasion resistance and is an excellent choice for demanding applications such as steam and compressor discharge. Its non-conductive design, featuring a stainless steel braided cover and extruded construction, ensures durability and reliability. The hose is impervious to degradation and performs well across a wide temperature range, making it suitable for various chemical applications. However, it is not recommended for steam-cold water cycling.
Certified under SAE 100R14A, this hose supports a minimum bend radius of 1.5 inches, providing flexibility in tight spaces. The tube material is composed of high-quality Teflon, known for its exceptional resistance to harsh chemicals and temperature extremes. The Everflex sub-brand guarantees a product that withstands vibration and impulsing, providing consistent performance in industrial environments. Compatible with Everswage fittings, it is an ideal choice for specialized needs.

Question by: Brett L on Dec 20, 2025, 9:09 PM
Got a compressor discharge line running pretty hot and I need something that ain't gonna break down on me, would this Teflon hose hold up for that kind of work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 22, 2025, 2:02 PM
Compressor discharge is actually one of the applications this hose was built around. The Teflon tube construction handles temperature extremes well, and the stainless steel braided cover gives it solid protection against wear and abrasion in rougher environments. It carries the SAE 100R14A certification and is rated down to negative 65 degrees on the cold end, so it handles a wide swing in operating conditions. Just keep in mind it's not suited for steam-to-cold water cycling, so if that's part of your setup, you'd want to look at something else.
Question by: Howard B on Feb 6, 2026, 7:32 AM
got a tight spot to snake a line through. how sharp can this 3/16 teflon hose bend without kinking it
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 7, 2026, 2:12 PM
For routing in tight areas, the minimum bend radius on this hose is 1.5 inches, so you want to keep your bend at or above that radius.
Question by: Bonnie A on Jul 21, 2025, 2:39 PM
What kind of stuff is this hose good for, generally speaking?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 23, 2025, 6:55 AM
It's ideal for steam, compressor discharge, and handling most chemical applications. However, it's best not to use it for steam-cold water cycling.
