Question by: Roy B on Jul 25, 2025, 10:52 AM
Flow rate on this thing is listed at 25 GPM -- that enough for most standard hydraulic filtration setups, or is it more of a light-duty unit?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 27, 2025, 6:30 AM
For a good portion of fixed industrial filtration systems, 25 GPM covers the job fine. Where you'd start feeling the pinch is in higher-volume circuits pushing well past that threshold. The 15 PSI pressure drop spec also holds steady, so you're not dealing with unexpected resistance creeping up on you during normal operation. Just keep in mind this one isn't built for machine mounting, so it needs to be part of a fixed system installation to work the way it's meant to.

Will this filter head work with my existing filtration setup if it uses a 3/4 NPT thread?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 29, 2025, 2:37 PM
Compatibility is a key feature; this Stauff filter head comes standard with a 3/4 NPT thread, making it suitable for a wide range of filtration systems using the same standard.
Question by: Debbie A on Mar 2, 2026, 1:58 PM
got a 3/4 NPT line on my hydraulic setup. is this filter head set up for that thread or am i barking up the wrong tree
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 4, 2026, 7:16 AM
With a 3/4 NPT thread, it matches systems that use 3/4 NPT connections, so it is a fit from a thread standpoint.
