WEBTEC safety burst discs are vital components in hydraulic systems, designed specifically to rupture at a maximum pressure of 480 bar (7000 psi), ensuring the safe release of excess pressure. Crafted from robust Nickel 2.4066, these discs are both durable and reliable in demanding environments. With a maximum flow capacity of 800 liters per minute (210 US gallons per minute), they are suitable for high-flow applications. Each disc weighs a mere 0.01 kg (0.022 lbs), making them lightweight yet highly effective. These safety burst discs are offered in a convenient pack of 10, providing ample supply for system maintenance or upgrades.
these come in a 10-pack, what's the burst pressure on each one, and is there a flow limit I should know about before putting them in a test circuit?

Each disc in the pack is rated to burst at 7000 psi (480 bar). On the flow side, the maximum rated throughput is 800 L/min (210 US gpm). If your test circuit stays within those numbers under normal operation, the discs should only rupture when an actual overpressure event occurs. Good thing to keep in mind is that these are single-use protection devices, so once one blows, you'll want a fresh disc in before running the circuit again.

How much pressure can these safety burst discs handle before rupturing?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 7, 2025, 7:59 AM
These burst discs are built to withstand up to 7000 psi before they rupture, making them suitable for high-pressure applications.
