got a pulling job where i need to run a rod through the middle. is that what the hollow cylinder in this kit is for?

For setups where you need access through the center, the hollow bore on the RCH single acting cylinder gives you that pass-through, and it also has collar threads so you can fixture it more easily for pulling or pushing work.

Does this kit come with everything you need to get started, or are there extra parts you gotta track down separate?

Everything needed to put it to work right out of the box is included. You get the RCH hollow hydraulic cylinder, a two-speed hand pump, a 6-foot hose, a calibrated gauge, and a gauge adaptor. The only thing left is connecting it to your application and getting after it.
