The SD16 Series Walvoil SD16 Inlet Cover SDS180/AC (YG3-) is designed for sectional valve configurations ranging from 1 to 12 sections. Suitable for open and closed center hydraulic systems, it features a main pressure relief valve and load check valve on each work section.

Operating within a fluid temperature range of -4deg;F to 176deg;F with standard Buna-N seals, the inlet cover handles a fluid viscosity of 80 to 400 SSU. Its ambient temperature range spans from -40deg;F to 140deg;F. Flow rating stands at 37 GPM.

Key attributes include a maximum operating pressure of 4600 PSI in parallel or tandem circuits, and a maximum back pressure of 360 PSI on the outlet port. Internal leakage is minimal at 0.18 insup3;/min at a pressure differential of 1450 PSI. This valve utilizes interchangeable spools and offers optional power beyond port and a variety of control methods including manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, or cable controls.

what's the max pressure this inlet cover is rated for, and does it change depending on how the circuit's set up?

Pressure ratings do vary based on circuit type. Running a parallel or tandem circuit, you're looking at up to 4600 PSI. Drop it into a series circuit and that ceiling comes down to 3050 PSI. Worth keeping that in mind before you spec it out, because the difference is pretty significant depending on how your system's configured.
