This Walvoil SD16 Series WALVOIL ADAPTER is constructed of steel with SAE 16 to BSP 1/ connection.

This adapter is suitable for ambient temperatures ranging from -40°F to 140°F and fluid temperatures from -4°F to 176°F, when using standard Buna-N seals. It is designed for a maximum back pressure of 360 PSI on outlet port T and a maximum operating pressure of 4600 PSI with parallel or tandem circuits, or 3050 PSI with series circuits. The recommended filtration is ISO 4406 19/16, and it is compatible with fluid viscosities from 80 to 400 SSU operating, 70 SSU minimum, and 1950 SSU maximum.

Will this adapter work with regular hydraulic fluid, or is there a specific kind I need to use?

It's designed to work with mineral oil, specifically one with a viscosity around 215 SSU when the oil is at 104°F. You can use fluids with viscosities from 80 to 400 SSU for normal operation, but avoid going below 70 SSU or above 1950 SSU.
