The SD16 Series Walvoil SD16/SD25 U(G3) Work Port Relief is a robust sectional valve suitable for open and closed center hydraulic systems. Its main pressure relief valve and load check valve on every work section ensure efficient performance.

With a compact yet heavy-duty design it can be configured with up to 12 sections and features options for parallel tandem or series circuits. The valve supports a high flow rating of 37 GPM and operates effectively within a fluid temperature range of -4deg;F to 176deg;F with standard Buna-N seals.

Maximum operating pressures are 4600 PSI for parallel or tandem circuits and 3050 PSI for series circuits making it a versatile choice for demanding applications. Additionally it offers manual pneumatic hydraulic electro-hydraulic or cable control options enhancing its adaptability.

The Walvoil SD16 Series model incorporates an optional power beyond port and maintains minimal internal leakage of 0.18 insup3;/min at 1450 PSI differential pressure. Engineered to endure ambient temperatures from -40deg;F to 140deg;F the valve also provides a maximum back pressure of 360 PSI on the outlet port T and requires ISO 4406 19/16 filtration.

running this on a loader with a closed center system, does the pressure rating hold up the same as it would in a parallel setup?

Closed center operation is supported, but the max pressure does differ depending on your circuit type. Parallel and tandem circuits are rated up to 4600 PSI, while series circuits top out at 3050 PSI. So if you're running series, you'll want to stay within that lower threshold. The valve handles both open and closed center systems, so you're covered either way as long as you're working within those limits.
