Designed for versatility and durability in hydraulic systems, the Walvoil SD6/2 Tie Rod Kit is engineered for open and closed center hydraulic systems. It offers a flow rating of 12 GPM and supports a maximum operating pressure of 4600 PSI in parallel or tandem circuits, and 3050 PSI in series circuits. The kit includes a main pressure relief valve and a load check valve on every work section, ensuring reliability and performance under demanding conditions.

Compatible with various control options such as manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, solenoid, or cable controls, this kit provides flexibility in applications. It operates efficiently within an ambient temperature range of -40°F to 140°F and a fluid temperature range of -4°F to 176°F with standard Buna-N seals. The robust design also accommodates a maximum back pressure of 360 PSI on the outlet port T.

What temperature range is this tie rod kit rated for, and would it hold up in colder working conditions?

Ambient temps from -40°F up to 140°F are covered, and the fluid itself can run anywhere from -4°F to 176°F with the standard Buna-N seals. So cold-weather operation is well within what this kit is built for. Just make sure your fluid viscosity stays in the acceptable range, which runs from 70 SSU minimum up to 1950 SSU maximum, since that matters more in cold starts than most folks expect.
