The Walvoil SD8 Series offers a robust sectional valve, ideal for both open and closed center hydraulic systems. This heavy-duty model features a main pressure relief valve and load check valve on each work section, ensuring reliable performance. The compact design supports configurations from 1 to 12 sections and allows for easy integration with parallel, tandem, or series circuits.

Flow Rating: 21 GPM.

Fluid Viscosity: 80 to 400 SSU Operating, 70 SSU Minimum, 1950 SSU Maximum.

Maximum Operating Pressure: 4600 PSI.

Operating within an ambient temperature range of -40deg;F to 140deg;F, it includes optional power beyond port and diverse control options, such as manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, solenoid, or cable.

Maximum Back Pressure: 360 PSI on outlet port T.

Fluid Temperature Range: -4deg;F to 176deg;F with standard Buna-N seals.

Internal Leakage: 0.18 insup3;/min at 1450 PSI differential pressure.

Recommended Filtration: ISO 4406 19/16.

Performance data measured with mineral oil of 215 SSU viscosity at 104deg;F.

i keep seein “tie rod kit” on this one. what all is it meant to do on an SD8 valve?

Think of it as the hardware that holds an SD8 sectional valve stack together. The SD8 series is a sectional valve that can be built up from 1 to 12 sections, and a tie rod kit is used to clamp and keep that stack aligned as an assembly.

Rated up to 4600 PSI maximum operating pressure, so it holds up well in demanding hydraulic setups. Keep in mind the outlet port T has a separate back pressure limit of 360 PSI, so that side of the circuit needs attention too when you're sizing things out.
