Sectional/Monoblock Directional Valve WALVOIL HANDLEVER (TYPE AL01/M12X250). F

Description & Features

Designed for both open and closed center hydraulic systems, this sectional valve ensures efficient fluid control with a compact and heavy-duty construction. It supports from 1 to 12 sections and offers multiple main circuit options including parallel, tandem, or series.

Equipped with a main pressure relief valve and load check valve on each work section, it guarantees reliable performance under varied conditions. Fluid flow is optimized with a rating of 21 GPM and internal leakage is minimized to 0.18 insup3;/min at 1450 PSI differential pressure.

The ambient temperature range accommodates -40deg;F to 140deg;F, while the fluid temperature spans -4deg;F to 176deg;F using standard Buna-N seals. Operating pressure reaches up to 4600 PSI, ensuring robust utility in demanding environments.

Optional power beyond port enhances flexibility, along with various control types such as manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, solenoid, or cable controls. Recommended filtration adheres to ISO 4406 19/16 standards, maintaining operational quality.

Fluid viscosity ranges between 80 to 400 SSU with a minimum of 70 SSU and a maximum of 1950 SSU. The valve also supports a maximum back pressure of 360 PSI on outlet port T.

Question by: Rusty H on Dec 28, 2025, 5:19 PM
got a hydraulic setup that sees cold mornings and hot afternoons. what temps is this Walvoil SD8 handlever okay with?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 30, 2025, 7:10 AM
For ambient air around the machine, it is rated from -40°F up to 140°F. On the oil side, the stated fluid temperature range is -4°F to 176°F when you are using standard Buna-N seals.
Question by: Stan K on May 19, 2025, 10:29 AM
what kind of max pressure and flow rate are we looking at for this walvoil setup
Answer by: Customer Support on May 21, 2025, 7:49 AM
You can run up to 4600 PSI maximum operating pressure through these SD8 series valves. The flow rating is 21 GPM making them a solid fit for heavy duty hydraulic equipment.
Question by: Randy P on Nov 7, 2025, 12:39 PM
Running this on a loader that sees some pretty nasty cold mornings. What's the lowest temperature this valve can handle before it starts giving me trouble?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 9, 2025, 11:46 AM
Cold weather operation is covered pretty well with this valve. The ambient temperature rating goes down to -40°F, and with the standard Buna-N seals, fluid temperature can drop as low as -4°F before you're pushing outside the rated range. Just keep in mind that startup viscosity matters too. The fluid viscosity ceiling is 1950 SSU maximum, so if your oil is thick and cold at first start, give it a minute to warm up before putting the system under full load. Once things are moving and temps normalize, you're well within spec for most winter conditions.
Question by: Chad B on May 29, 2025, 3:42 PM
got a compact power unit on an open-center setup. is this SD8 valve section ok for open center, and what kind of flow can it handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 31, 2025, 12:22 PM
For open and closed center hydraulic systems, the SD8 sectional valve setup is built to work either way, and it is rated for 21 GPM flow. It also has a main pressure relief valve and a load check on each work section to help keep operation steady when you are shifting functions.
