Product Questions & Answers (3)

Question by: Curt F on Jun 25, 2025, 11:03 AM
tubing says 2725 psi working pressure but I also seen mention of a 6:1 safety factor -- does that number already account for the safety factor or is 2725 the raw calculated pressure?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 26, 2025, 12:27 PM
The 2,725 psi working pressure already reflects the 6:1 safety factor applied to the burst pressure of 16,350 psi. That burst figure comes from the Barlow formula using wall thickness, tensile strength, and outside diameter. So 2,725 psi is your safe continuous working pressure for conditions where hydraulic shock and mechanical strain are considered considerable. If your system runs relatively smooth with minimal shock, a 4:1 safety factor allows higher working pressures. On the flip side, severe shock conditions call for an 8:1 factor, which would put your working pressure lower than the listed 2,725 psi.

got a line that needs 1 inch OD stainless tube. what’s the actual inside size on this one?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 20, 2025, 8:37 AM
Inside diameter on this tubing is 0.788 inch, which lines up with the 1.00 inch OD and 0.109 to 0.11 inch wall thickness.
Question by: Travis G on Aug 17, 2025, 5:51 PM
What's the highest pressure this tubing can handle before it busts?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 19, 2025, 11:36 AM
This tubing is rated to withstand a burst pressure of 16,350 psi, giving you a solid safety margin.
