Seamless 316 stainless steel tubing, crafted with a 0.38 inch outside diameter, offers exceptional performance for demanding applications. Engineered to meet ASTM A269 B90 standards, this tubing comes with a 0.05 inch wall thickness and a 0.28 inch inside diameter, ensuring durability and reliability.
The bright annealed 316 stainless steel material provides a tensile strength of 75,000 psi. With a burst pressure of 19,600 psi and a maximum working pressure of 3,267 psi, this tubing is designed to handle high-pressure systems. The 0.277 inch inside diameter allows for a rated flow of 2.8 GPM, making it suitable for a range of industrial demands.
Its superior strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance make it ideal for various high-stress environments. Safety is paramount, as the product adheres to a safety factor of 6:1, based on the Barlow formula.

Question by: Shawn W on Sep 6, 2025, 5:45 PM
got a tight spot to run line through. what are the actual tube sizes on this one?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 8, 2025, 6:29 AM
For sizing, it is 0.375 inch outside diameter with a 0.049 inch wall, which puts the inside diameter at 0.277 inch.
Question by: Ross G on Apr 6, 2025, 7:15 PM
What’s the highest pressure this tubing can handle without, ya know, bustin'?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 7, 2025, 8:51 PM
Its burst pressure is rated at 19,600 psi, but the maximum working pressure you should plan for is 3,267 psi to maintain a safe margin.
Question by: Hubert P on Sep 29, 2025, 9:58 AM
what's the working pressure rated at on this 3/8 stainless tubing? got a system running around 2800 psi and want to make sure it'll hold up
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 30, 2025, 4:24 PM
At a 6:1 safety factor, the maximum working pressure comes out to 3,267 psi, so a 2,800 psi system falls within that range. That 6:1 rating is the one to use when your application involves considerable hydraulic shock or mechanical strain. If shock and strain are more on the severe end, the manufacturer recommends stepping up to an 8:1 safety factor, which would put your working pressure lower than the 3,267 psi figure. Worth factoring that in depending on what your system actually sees day to day.
