Product Questions & Answers (2)
Question by: Brent G on Apr 28, 2025, 3:37 PM
what's the max working pressure on this tubing? got a system running around 1,400 psi and want to make sure it'll hold up without issues
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 30, 2025, 6:06 AM
At 1,760 psi maximum working pressure, that 1,400 psi system sits comfortably within range. Worth knowing that figure already accounts for a 6:1 safety factor, which is the standard applied for conditions where hydraulic shock and mechanical strain are considered considerable. If your setup runs into more severe shock loads, the rated working pressure would need to be pulled back further to reflect an 8:1 safety factor. For routine fluid transfer or air brake applications without heavy shock, you're in good shape at that operating pressure.

got a line that needs 1-1/4 OD steel tube. is this one actually 1.25 OD with a 0.120 wall, or am i readin it wrong
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 2, 2025, 7:16 AM
Dimensional-wise, it is 1.25 inch outside diameter with a 0.12 inch wall thickness, which puts the inside diameter at 1.01 inch.
