Product Questions & Answers (3)
Question by: Ralph P on Jan 15, 2026, 12:17 PM
What's the most pressure this tubing can handle before it bursts?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 17, 2026, 6:50 AM
With a burst pressure rating of 13,200 psi, this tubing is built to withstand quite a bit before it fails. Just remember to factor in hydraulic shocks and mechanical strain, as noted in the safety guidelines.
Question by: Tony P on Aug 2, 2025, 2:12 PM
got a job that calls for 1 inch tubing, is this one actually 1.00 OD and what’s the inside size on it
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 4, 2025, 1:00 PM
The outside diameter is 1.00 inch and the inside diameter is 0.76 inch, with a 0.12 inch wall thickness.
Question by: Dale W on May 9, 2025, 5:17 PM
tubing says it's annealed for bending and flaring, does that mean it'll hold up okay if I need to run a tight bend without cracking or kinking on me?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 11, 2025, 8:24 AM
Annealing softens the steel enough to allow bending and flaring without the material fracturing or collapsing at the bend point. That's actually the whole point of the SAE J524 spec this tubing is built to. The low carbon content keeps it workable, so you've got some flexibility in routing without fighting the material the whole way through the job.
