Product Questions & Answers (3)
Question by: Jimmy K on Mar 16, 2026, 4:09 PM
what kind of pressure can this tubing handle before I run into trouble? looking for the working max.
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 17, 2026, 9:23 PM
Rated for a maximum working pressure of 3593 psi, the line provides a very strong safety margin. A 6:1 safety factor means the actual burst pressure reaches up to 21560 psi to help protect your system against severe spikes.
Question by: Janet C on Feb 28, 2026, 7:29 PM
tubing says it's annealed -- does that mean it'll bend without cracking or do I still need a tube bender on the smaller radius stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 2, 2026, 6:19 AM
Annealing is specifically what makes this tubing cooperative for bending and flaring work. The SAE J524 spec requires it to be in that softened state, so the material has enough ductility to handle forming without fracturing along the bend. A proper tube bender is still the right call for tight-radius work, but the annealed condition means you're not fighting a stiff, work-hardened tube that wants to kink or split on you.
Question by: Duane A on Apr 26, 2025, 5:25 PM
Hey, can this tubing handle a good bit of pressure? I'm working on a project where things can get pretty intense.
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 27, 2025, 6:55 PM
Based on SAE J1065, it can handle a maximum working pressure of 3593 psi. The burst pressure is rated much higher, at 21560 psi.
