Product Questions & Answers (1)
Question by: Shawn B on Nov 6, 2025, 4:26 PM
what's the working pressure on this tubing? got a line that sees some hydraulic shock and want to make sure i ain't undersizing it
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 8, 2025, 6:46 AM
At a 6:1 safety factor, the working pressure comes out to 3422 PSI. That safety factor is already built around applications with considerable hydraulic shock and mechanical strain, so it's the right number to use for your situation. If shock were severe enough to warrant an 8:1 factor, you'd be working with a lower allowable pressure than that. The burst pressure on this tubing is 20,533 PSI, but the 3422 PSI working pressure is what you'd size to under those conditions.
